Local Estonian ice cream producer AS Balbiino’s custom-designed Jätsiabi ice cream trucks now offer Tallinners and Tartu residents 54 different flavours with the convenience of door-to-door delivery. In July, Balbiino Jätsiabi will also be launched in Estonia’s “summer capital” Pärnu.
"We began administering Ice Cream First Aid in May this year and current sales allow us to project that the most ‘in’ ice cream of the season will be Yeti diary ice creams and Balbiino Classic dairy ice creams. Raks, Vanilla Ninja, and dairy ice creams in waffle cups also look to be successful. In any case it’s clear that ice cream lovers prefer Balbiino real dairy ice cream and we continue to keep our promise to offer the best dairy ice cream,” said AS Balbiino Sales Director and Business Manager Hindrek Männik.
Balbiino Jätsiabi ice cream trucks with their distinctive design are making the rounds of residential neighbourhoods for the sixth straight year giving ice cream lovers the opportunity to buy ice cream from their home doorstep. Balbiino Jätsiabi ensures that ice cream reaches ice cream lovers directly from AS Balbiino’s ice cream plant and with a wide selection to choose from. Ice Cream First Aid can also be summoned to the rescue by telephone.
In 2009, Balbiino Jätsiabi sold about 1.5 million kroons worth of ice cream. A similar service has been very popular in Finland and Sweden, Estonia’s northern neighbours. The idea to offer Jätsiabi service in Tallinn six years ago originated there. Currently there are two Balbiino Jätsiabi trucks in the greater Tallinn area. Jätsiabi is represented in Tartu as well and from July on, the ice cream kiosk on wheels will be spreading smiles to the faces of ice cream lovers in Pärnu.
