At Balbiino’s museum dedicated to ice cream, one can get a close view of the first ice cream machines in Estonia, which were the property of Onu Eskimo, and also look at videos of Balbiino’s ice cream manufacturing process. The ice cream history wall gives an overview of the most important events – starting with the making of the world’s first ice cream and ending with the latest ice cream trends in Estonia.
Several exciting interactive and already familiar, but updated, games await the guests. The ice cream museum located at Balbiino’s ice cream factory (at Viljandi mnt 26, Tallinn) has been open to visitors since August 2014. Excursions are welcomed on every first and third Wednesday of the month (unless it falls on a national holiday). The visit must be booked in advance. Excursions can only be booked by groups, where the size of the group is between 15-25 persons. Visits to the ice cream museum are free of charge for all visitors. During the visit, a local guide introduces the museum, its exhibits and their history, and give an overview of the interactive opportunities available at the ice cream museum. Visits to the ice cream museum do not include an excursion into the ice cream manufacturing facilities.
